Parent Voice: Boarding Life at BBSG

As the 2024-25 academic year is approaching, the BBSG boarding community is set to grow bigger, welcoming new students from Grade 1 and providing year-round full boarding services for Grade 9 students. 

Weekday Boarding: 

Five days a week from Monday to Friday, open to all students.

Full Boarding: 

Seven days a week, for Grade 9 students and above.

@Grade 2 Luke L & Grade 7 Leeson L's dad:

The father approached his children's education with careful consideration. He thoroughly explored BBSG before the school opening and only enrolled Luke after Leeson's positive experience here. 

Now, he appreciates the "five-star" boarding life a lot, compared with his previous boarding experience. The father joked, "Leeson doesn't want to come home".

@Grade 4 Angela S & Grade 6 Christine S' mom:

The family values independent decision-making. Both girls chose boarding themselves for different reasons. 

The mother recognised how the boarding team help the students to cultivate self-reliance, how they organise enrichment activities and provides quality academic support for the boarders. "The girls are in the good hands of the professionals," she said.

@Grade 7 Terry C's mom:

Despite commuting from Yangjiang to Guangzhou every week, Terry quickly and smoothly adapted to BBSG's boarding life. 

Terry's mom was pleasantly surprised: "I expected he would be homesick. I was even prepared to stay in Guangzhou for a few days to help the transition. But he loves being with the boarding team and his peers, and is always eager to return to school during weekends."

At BBSG, the De Lodge has become a second home for our boarding students, where they establish friendship, develop life skills and independence, and grow holistically. Our boarding programme is about to "level up" in the new academic year and we cannot wait to welcome our boarders back. Stay tuned for more updates!
