Benenden Kindergarten Guangzhou (BKG) is a progressive, dual immersion Mandarin and English kindergarten open to local and expatriate children from 2-6 years old. Focusing on the key competencies and skills required for success in the rapidly changing future world, BKG is committed to nurturing future leaders with not only bilingual communication skills, but innovative capabilities, cross curricular passions and abilities.

BKG provides a dual immersion teaching environment, offering children full and rich language exposure in English and Mandarin every day, within an engaging, hands-on learning environment. Through active inquiry and hands on learning experiences, children learn language in a cross curricular way, underpinning meaning and stretching understanding of broad concepts.

Our focus on inquiry-based learning, encourages children to explore independently. Driven by a maker mindset, every step they take helps them explore the endless possibilities of our rapidly changing the world.

Cross curricular learning is a method that nurtures essential lifelong competencies, including critical thinking, creative problem-solving, and the ability to collaborate, building a robust foundation for all future learning. Language and social emotional skills are developed throughout and links between subjects strengthened day by day, ensuring our children really are future world ready

BKG is led by a passionate team of early childhood educators, who’s extensive experience in early childhood education practice and research enable them to drive a forward thinking, future ready programme. An innovative mindset is essential to all BKG teachers, and we specifically seek bilingual and multicultural education expertise, inquiry-based teaching implementation experience and a commitment to the Benenden Schools Guangzhou's A COMPLETE EDUCATION pedagogy. Our educators are lifelong learners who are passionate about teaching and learning and are deeply knowledgeable in child development and curriculum design.

BKG adopts small-class teaching model. Each class is supported by 3 dedicated teachers, including 1 Expatriate Lead Teacher, 1 Bilingual Lead Teacher and 1 Bilingual Teaching Assistant.

Collaborating as part of Benenden Schools Guangzhou, within our rich and exciting campus of BBSG, covering 160 acres, we provide a 15-year, consistent progression, multi–pathway education journey (from kindergarten to senior high school) and share the world-class resources and student engagement and collaboration opportunities of a progressive and forward thinking K thru 12 programme.
