Dr. Chen is a highly respected expert in the field of STEAM Education with 10+ experiences and has unique insights into the development of AI curriculum. Having had obtained his post-doctoral fellowship in wireless sensor networks from CREST R&D Centre (USA) and PhD in Global Information and Telecommunication Studies from Waseda University (Japan), Dr. Chen has extended experience in leading academic research in key universities, establishing and managing IB/A-Level international schools by taking leadership responsibilities.

Additionally, as a Japan MEXT Global COE Outstanding Scientific Research Achievement Award winner, Dr. Chen owns many patents and has published 3 high quality SCI-indexed journal papers and 20+ international conference papers as the 1st author.

Mr. Lloyd is a writer, director and educator from New York City. He is a member of the Dramatist’s Guild and has been a member of the BMI Musical Theatre Workshop. Several of his original musicals premiered off-Broadway and around the country.

As an educator for more than 20 years, he has worked as choral director, theatre director, musical director, and department chair. As Program Director for Open Arts Alliance (a non-profit children’s theatre), he led students to perform in regional houses and off-Broadway.

Mr. Williams is a highly experienced educator with over 20 years' tenure in the teaching industry. He has gained international teaching experience in countries such as Qatar, South Korea, Singapore, Mongolia, Thailand, and China. He was honoured with the Employee of the Year Award (China) with his previous school and was an inaugural inductee into the school’s High Performance Program. In addition to his teaching accomplishments, Mr. Williams has shared his expertise at prominent conventions, including EdCon 360 in 2021 and the 2020 International and Bilingual Schools China Conference.

Mr. Williams holds a Bachelor of Political Science from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, as well as a PGCEi and Master’s degree from the University of Nottingham, UK.

He believes that inspiration and differentiation are paramount skills for any educator. Outside of his professional endeavors, he enjoys reading, writing, and swimming. He achieved third place in the New Zealand National Writing competition, reached the final round of The Bangkok Poetry Slam, and is currently working on the third draft of his first novel.

Mr. Thomas Magson brings over a decade of leadership experience in international education, having headed PE departments at international schools in both Guangzhou and Beijing.

He excels in sports programme management and K12 curriculum development, with a strong focus on promoting active and healthy lifestyles. He believes that Physical Education is fundamental to developing resilience, discipline, and character. His mission is to foster a lifelong passion for sport and physical activity in every student.

Mr. Guo holds an M.S. in Communication and Information Systems from Harbin Engineering University and has six years of experience in STEM and innovation education. 

He was the Curriculum Design Lead for the DJI RoboMaster S1 robot and has served as a Lead Trainer for the Guangdong Provincial AI Innovation Education Program and a Mentor for the Shenzhen Teachers' Maker Marathon. 

With a strong engineering background, he focuses on AI-Augmented Teaching and specializes in Interdisciplinary Curriculum Design (STEAM) and Gamified Learning, transforming complex engineering concepts into engaging learning experiences.

Mrs. Elizabeth Hester Grobler brings over two decades of international teaching and leadership experience. She recently served as Deputy Head of Curriculum for both Primary and Secondary sections at a renowned international school in Shenzhen, leading CIS accreditation and high-quality teaching initiatives. Previously, she spent ten years as a Native English Teacher in Hong Kong, specialising in phonics, drama, and literacy. 

Mrs. Grobler is passionate about creating engaging, student-centred environments that nurture curiosity and empathy. She excels at integrating drama, music, and storytelling into language instruction to make learning both meaningful and memorable.  

Ms.Jiang holds the national first-level teacher title and has over 10 years of teaching experience in the field of international bilingual education. She has served as the Deputy Head of the Chinese department at a renowned international bilingual school in Shenzhen, overseeing the Primary Chinese curriculum. She has played a leading role in curriculum development and classroom instruction. She is very interested in creative writing and has received the Outstanding Guidance Teacher Award at the International School Chinese Poetry Contest for four consecutive years. She also won the Outstanding Guidance Teacher Award in the first National Creative Writing Competition.

Ms. Jiang holds a dual bachelor's degree in Education and Literature from South China Normal University. With her passion for education, she further pursued a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Ms. Jiang's exceptional academic performance earned her a first-class scholarship.

She believes what Confucius has said Those who love it are better than those who know it, and those who delight in it are better than those who love it and hopes that every child will not only learn but also love learning, becoming a lifelong learner who finds joy in it.

In her spare time, she likes skiing, hiking, and playing board games.

In his previous role as Head of the Mathematics and Science Department, Mr. Xia demonstrated strong leadership and mentorship capabilities. His expertise spans various international curricula, including the IB, A-Level, IGCSE, and CNC. This diverse experience enables him to adeptly integrate different educational frameworks into daily instruction, enhancing the learning experiences of his students. His students have achieved remarkable successes, with some currently pursuing their studies at renowned institutions such as MIT, Harvard, Stanford, Cambridge, and Imperial College London.

Mr. Xia firmly believes that stimulating critical thinking and creativity is fundamental to student development. He always encourages students to engage deeply with concepts and ideas, fostering a culture of inquiry and innovation in the classroom.

Ms. Wang holds a degree in Chinese Language and Literature from Central China Normal University.

Over the past nearly 15 years, Ms. Wang has accumulated extensive teaching experience across various roles. Her career includes serving as a Homeroom Teacher, Year Team Leader, Primary Chinese Language Leader, PYP Coordinator, and Assistant Head of Primary.

Mr. Barnes graduated from King's College London with a Master's in International Education and from University of Canterbury with a Bachelor's in Education.

His previous roles include serving as the MYP Coordinator and Curriculum and Assessment Coordinator for an IB candidate school. Mr. Barnes has extensive experience working with new schools to develop and implement meaningful curricula. Mr. Barnes' teaching philosophy centres on cultivating critical thinking skills in students.

Born extroverted, Ms Xuan decided to choose English as her major at the university so that she could communicate with people from other countries. The four-year undergraduate studies at the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies proved to be a great success. Later, she was not satisfied with her first degree in English and pursued the postgraduate study in Human Resource Management in the University of Sydney in Australia. Ms Xuan received her master’s degree in 2003 and later in 2006 she was invited as a visiting scholar by the Business School of University of Central Lancashire in the United Kingdom.

Ms Xuan has been actively involved in consultation and application for both college and private school  for more than 20 years in Canada. She has also acted as the Academic Director, designing and teaching ELL and SAT programs. Before she moved to Canada, Ms Xuan was a university lecturer who taught almost all subjects about English, such as listening, speaking, reading, essay writing and TOEFL preparation at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. She was a professional interpreter who received Certificates in Mandarin-English Community Interpretation and Cantonese-English Community Interpretation. She was also a volunteer translator for various non-profit organisations.

Ms. McArthur studied vocational classical ballet from her formative years before furthering her education at one of the UK's leading teaching and performing arts colleges in London.

With over thirty years of experience in producing, setting, and directing full-scale productions, Ms. McArthur has had an extensive career in the arts. As an educator, she has taught in Australia, Japan, and the UK, and has been based in China for nearly a decade.
