At Benenden Bilingual School Guangzhou (BBSG), we are committed to fostering and honouring talent in various disciplines. Our scholarship programme acknowledges excellence in various areas and offers support to students in thriving and becoming future-ready. BBSG scholars are remarkable students who serve as role models for their peers, embodying BBSG’s school values and our motive of "Excellence for All."

We are excited to announce that the 2025-26 Academic Year Scholarship Programme is now open for application! The Scholarship Programme covers a variety of categories, such as academics, sports, STEAM, visual arts, performing arts, and a customised category for secondary students to support their academic planning and university applications.

Scholarship Categories

BBSG offers five main scholarship categories for the 2025-26 academic year, with up to a 100% reduction in tuition and boarding fees:

Academics

• For students who excel in core subjects and demonstrate a commitment to learning.

STEAM

• Acknowledging talent in the field of STEAM.

Sports

• For athletes who demonstrate outstanding skills and leadership in sports.

Visual Arts

• For students who demonstrate exceptional talent, creativity, and profound artistic skills in fields such as painting, photography, and other visual arts.

Performing Arts

• For student performers with outstanding professional skills and stage presence in areas such as music, dance, and theatre.

Application Requirements

The BBSG scholarship programme focuses on creating an environment where talented students are motivated to pursue their passions and excel in both academic and extracurricular activities. BBSG scholars are not only exceptional performers in their age group but also play an integral role in the school community, acting as an inspiration to their peers and contributing to a collaborative learning atmosphere.

Each scholarship category has specific requirements. In general, applicants must:

• Be current BBSG students or prospective students who meet the BBSG admissions requirements.

• Submit a brief personal statement outlining their achievements and reasons for applying.

• Submit evidence of excellence in their chosen field, such as certificates or portfolios for arts and music scholarships.

•  Participate in interviews or auditions, depending on the category.

University Consultation Scholarship Programme

Moreover, BBSG offers a University Consultation Scholarship Programme which rewards students who exhibit the BBSG core values with outstanding potential, providing one-on-one support through personalised consulting, academic enhancement, and application tracking. The aim is to assist students to set their goals, make effective plans, and realise their dreams at top-tier universities worldwide.

Application Procedure and Deadline

The deadline for early applications is 10th January 2025, and the deadline for all applications is 18th July 2025.
