First Day of School for 2024-25AY

The school gates opened to a sea of smiling faces and smart uniforms as our students returned, ready for an exciting new year at BBSG!

Our campus buzzed with activity yesterday as families joined us for an informative orientation day. This morning, students stepped into their classrooms, eager to start their new adventure.

Setting Goals for the New Academic Year

This year at BBSG, we are focusing on "Excellence for All". We're raising the bar for every member of our community, students and staff alike, to give our best in everything we do. Every task matters, and every lesson counts. By pushing ourselves, we're confident that we will craft an excellent year ahead.

Our new students met their teachers and classmates on the Orientation Day, getting to know each other, and wrote down their wishes and hopes for the new year, setting goals for their new adventure.

While we're setting high goals for our students, we're also aiming high as a school. We've got lots of new and improved experiences planned for this year.

At the parent orientation session, Ms. Jennifer Ma, Honourary Executive Supervisor, Benenden Schools (China), Ms. Louisa Shen, Chinese Principal, Mr. Jakub Peciak, Academic Principal and Head of International Programmes, Ms. Helen Gong, Deputy Head of Pastoral and Student Development and Head of BBSG Junior Secondary, as well as Mr. Bobby Zhang, Deputy Head Moral Education and Head of BBSG Primary, shared our 3-year goals and implementation plans in the new academic year, covering education quality assurance, academic standards, pastoral care, student development, behaviour management, and more.

This year, we were honoured to have Professor Xu Wei, Director of the Nanosystem Fabrication Facility (GZ) at HKUST (Guangzhou), as our keynote speaker. He delivered an engaging presentation about chip manufacturing – a high-tech area that has captured the world's attention and is key to a country's future strength.

Professor Xu showed BBSG students how everyday skills like pumpkin carving and even Minecraft gameplay can relate to high-tech chip manufacturing, reminding us that innovation isn't some lofty ideal – it's within our grasp. His words were a clarion call to our students to fearlessly pursue their own passion for technology in future studies.
