13 Sep 2024

Recently, BBSG's partner Benenden School was once again featured in the Spear's Schools Index, listed as one of the world's 100 leading private schools. Categorised among the 25 best UK senior schools, Benenden has also been given Top Flight status alongside schools such as Eton and Harrow.

This recognition not only affirms Benenden's educational quality and academic achievements but also reflects its commitment to "A Complete Education" philosophy and its pursuit of excellence in fostering well-rounded students.

The Spear's Schools Index, launched in 2020, has gained growing recognition in national and international media over the past five years, establishing a reputation as a definitive index of the world's 100 leading private schools. The index was conceived as a key resource for international families, advisors to (U)HNW individuals and family offices, those supporting relocation to major international cities, and researchers and journalists seeking insight into the world's leading schools.

Benenden aims to guide its pupils into becoming ambitious, confident and caring young women. Academic results are outstanding, supporting their approach of creating a less pressured atmosphere than traditional London day schools.

Their strategy sets out five pillars of child development with an emphasis on responsibility, creativity and innovation. Boarding is full-time, with long breaks at home to encourage independence with an underpinning of security.

Moreover, in recent university acceptance results, 26% of Benenden graduates secured places at Top 10 universities worldwide, with an exceptional seven students accepted by University of Oxford and University of Cambridge.

Ms. Rachel Baily, Headmistress at Benenden School, expressed her pride:

Results like this only come from enormous levels of hard work: primarily from the girls themselves but also from the teachers and the fabulous support network available to students at Benenden, whether in academic support or through the extensive wellbeing provision in House.

——Ms. Rachel Bailey,

Headmistress of Benenden School

Committed to "Excellence for All", BBSG is expanding our educational resources and opportunities for students in the new academic year. With support from Benenden School, we aim to introduce a range of exchange programmes, including pen pal schemes and student exchanges. These initiatives will engage students and staff from both schools to enhance international perspectives and cross-cultural communication skills.

We look forward to sharing more collaborative projects and academic achievements from both schools with you!
