TEDxBBSG Youth Debut

Under the spotlight, BBSG speakers confidently took the stage to explore AI boundaries, discuss renewable energy possibilities, and share personal growth stories at our inaugural TEDxBBSG Youth event.

From Audience to Speakers

TED, a globally influential public speaking platform, inspires change through powerful ideas. By introducing TEDxYouth to BBSG, we encourage our students from passive listeners to confident speakers. Students explored their passions, refined ideas into compelling narratives, and shared insights on an international platform, developing critical public speaking and leadership skills in the process.

BBSG students delivered impressive bilingual talks under the theme "Be Future World Ready," offering fresh perspectives on technology, humanities, and personal development.

The Journey to the TEDxYouth Stage

Transforming daily experiences and insights into compelling public speeches challenges one's writing, expression, and time management skills. Each step towards the TEDxBBSG Youth stage reflected our students' talents, dedication and growth:

Will D (G3) crafted an engaging presentation about his home renewable energy experiments, despite his busy schedule with daily classes and piano competitions. Through the journey to the TEDxBBSG Youth stage, our young speakers improved their time management while balancing academics, extracurricular activities, and speech preparation, showcasing strong PURPOSE and resilience.

Our youngest speaker, Jayden L (G1), is a seasoned speaker who won a Gold medal at the 16th GoodTalk (Global Village) International Youth Bilingual Speech Conference in Singapore. He offered sophisticated insights into AI's role in human society, demonstrating the BBSG value of LEARNING and our students' capacity for deep reflection, regardless of age.

Jacky X (G6) showed a remarkable transformation - from initial stage fright to confidently sharing his cycling journey: from bicycle repair mishaps to competitive challenges with his friends. His performance exemplified the value of COURAGE we nurture at BBSG.

Through this exchange of ideas, we aim for more young speakers to inspire others and develop future leadership skills on the TEDxYouth BBSG stage, encouraging audience members to become tomorrow's voices of change. 

As TED's core belief states, "Ideas Change Everything". As these young voices continue to rise and inspire, they're not just sharing ideas - they're shaping tomorrow's conversations and changing our world for the better.
