Our First Day of School

A milestone academic year unfolds at Benenden Guangzhou community.

Today marks the welcome of our first-ever kindergarten cohort, alongside new and returning students across Primary, Junior and Senior Secondary Schools.

As we bloom our way towards the 2025-26 academic year, every step of this new journey sparkles with anticipation.

Students arrived on campus after a fulfilling summer, brimming with curiosity and ready to forge their unique paths of discovery at Benenden Guangzhou community.

Classes ventured outdoors for their first team-building activities of the year. Amidst nature, they forged connections through collaboration and built resilience through challenges - proving that the world truly is the finest classroom.

The September air rang with joyful laughter as students eagerly shared summer tales with reunited friends.

Parents and students reunited in school section meetings, whilst homeroom teachers led the first class meetings of the new year. The classrooms buzzed with excitement as students met their new teachers and reconnected with familiar faces. Students marked their fresh start by writing their names in pristine notebooks.

Dr. Arnett Edwards, Honorary Executive Supervisor, Benenden Schools (China), shared his wishes with students for the new academic year: Learning is not just about what is in your textbooks. It's about building the skills you need to thrive in the world that is waiting for you. It is the academic rigour that sharpens your mind. It's the sports and arts that build your character, teamwork, and creativity. It’s the activities that teach you leadership and empathy.
