Mr. Lloyd is a writer, director and educator living in New York City. He is a member of the Dramatist’s Guild and has been a member of the BMI Musical Theatre Workshop. Several of his original musicals premiered off-Broadway and around the country.

As an educator for more than 20 years, he has worked as choral director, theatre director, musical director, and department chair. As Program Director for Open Arts Alliance (a non-profit children’s theatre), he led students to perform in regional houses and off-Broadway.

During his Bachelor's and Master's period, he was the TA in violin performance and had been invited to teach in different universities and communities. In the U.S., Mr. Yu was one of the Little Master Program leaders who provides free instrumental teaching and music camps for disadvantaged families and schools around the University of Delaware. 

In K-12 education, Mr. Yu encourages conceptual learning across the curriculum. He would like to help students build the connection between music and their background knowledge. For instance, the mathematical application in music composing, how instrumental tone represents acoustic physics, music development influenced by historical events, and how the music rhythm constructs human emotion and imagination. 

Mr. Yu believes that music is a subjective field, students can combine basic musical knowledge with a cross-curriculum view to build their music appreciation logic which can help them understand the music world better with their interests. This learning process not only helps students study the concept of music but also creates a new sight of their old knowledge. 

Ms. Ker holds a Bachelor of Music, majoring in Pianoforte Performance and Choral Conducting, alongside a Diploma of Education. She has also completed a postgraduate Master's in Leadership.

With twelve years of teaching experience in Australia, Ms. Ker has served in various roles including Classroom Music Teacher, Piano and Theory Instructor, and Accompanist. In addition to her formal teaching in schools, Ms. Ker has taught piano for 30 years. Throughout her career, she has managed a private teaching practice and accompanied examinations.

Ms. Ker's educational philosophy centres on facilitating student learning by fostering curiosity, imagination, and experimentation.

Ms. Song has 10 years' experience in the education industry. Her students won many championships and runners-up places, as well as gold, silver, and bronze medals in various national and international Taekwondo competitions. She was awarded the honorary title of "Excellent Coach" for multiple times.

Ms. Song holds a Master degree at Beijing Normal University, and is currently pursuing her PhD (pending) at SEGi University & Colleges.

Mr. Matsiyevych is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Physical Education. With eight years of experience as a Physical Education (PE) teacher in China, he brings extensive expertise in management and sports event organization to BBSG.

He has obtained several professional qualifications, including a TEFL/TESOL certification, UEFA Football License C, Fitness License GYM Coach, and Swimming License from ASCA. Mr. Matsiyevych has also participated in IB PYP and IB MYP workshops.

With diverse sporting interests including boxing, wrestling, football, tennis, and swimming, Mr. Matsiyevych demonstrates a broad athletic background.

Linguistically versatile, he has varying levels of proficiency in five languages: Ukrainian, English, Polish, Czech, and Chinese.

Ms. Chen has been working for over 8 years in the field of sports coaching and development focusing on swimming, badminton, and fitness performance for younger ages.  

She was a Physical Education teacher and also as a swimming coach from Early Years to Year 12 at an International School in Shanghai for over 8 years before joining Benenden Bilingual School Guangzhou.

Ms. Chen graduated from Tongji University in Shanghai.

Mr Xu has 4 years experience of education, and used to serve as a high school PE teacher and homeroom teacher before joining BBSG.

Mr Xu graduated as a Master from Guangzhou University.

Mr. Cooper holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Secondary Teaching, specialising in Health and PE (Level 7).

With two decades of sports experience, particularly in Rugby Union, Golf, and Basketball, Mr. Cooper has also coached Rugby Union for over six years, working with children aged 5 to 18.

He served as the Head of the Activities Centre at a school in New Zealand, where he focused on motivating students who face challenges in mainstream education.

With nearly 20 years of experience in the education. 

After graduating with a master's degree, worked in many well-known international schools in Shenzhen, accumulated rich experience in moral education and pastoral care practice. Good at promoting home-school communication and comprehensive development of students through effective communication and cooperation. 

Participated in the development and promotion of courses and activities for individualized student development to promote their comprehensive growth. Successfully integrated psychological exploration OH Cards into moral education, and won awards such as excellent moral educator, excellent psychological counselor, and outstanding contribution award.

Ms. Deng holds a Master's degree from the University of Leeds, focusing on the theory and practice of general and specialist English Language teaching.

With over two decades of teaching and management experience at bilingual schools in Guangzhou and Foshan, Ms. Deng has developed a deep understanding of the diverse needs of students across different age groups.

Ms. Wang holds a master’s degree in Research Methods of Psychological Science from the University of Glasgow and graduated from a Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Beijing Normal University.

She has intensive experience in the psychological field, providing psychological assessments, mental health training, and attention training to children,  families and other clients.

This educational background has provided Ms. Xiao with a solid understanding of the developmental needs of young individuals. Moreover, Ms. Xiao is certified as both a positive discipline classroom facilitator and a parent facilitator, which enables her to effectively support students and collaborate with parents. 

Throughout her eight-year career in the field of education, her primary focus has been on nurturing students' social-emotional development. She has been working as a psychology teacher in bilingual and international schools located in Guangzhou and Foshan. Ms. Xiao strongly believes that fostering their emotional well-being is essential for their overall growth and academic success. 

Ms. Xiao primarily utilises Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Systematic Family Dynamic Therapy. By integrating these evidence-based practices, she strives to create a supportive and empowering environment that assists students in overcoming challenges and building resilience. 

Outside work, hobbies bring joy, such as swimming, ping pong, singing, and travelling. They are fulfilling, maintain a healthy work-life balance, and help her bring the best into counselling.
