Ms. Shen graduated from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS) with a master’s degree in foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics, and has been a government-sponsored visiting scholar at universities in the United States and the United Kingdom. During her 20 years of study and work at GDUFS, she has worked as a full-time teacher, basic education administrator and researcher, as well as a court interpreter and a translator of legal documents. In the past 8 years, she has focused on basic education curriculum development, teacher training, instructional design, school evaluation, academic assessment, etc. She has undertaken a number of STEM research projects at national, provincial and municipal levels.

Ms. Shen has served as an examiner for the Teacher Professional Development Programme of Cambridge International Examinations, a member of the Cambridge Working Group on Community Teachers in Schools, a Speaking examiner of Cambridge Main Suite Examinations, the Chairperson of the Academic Committee of London College of Music (University of West London) Examinations and Assessment Centre (China), and a member of the Academic Committee of the International-minded Schools Branch, among others.

In her leisure time, she enjoys fitness exercises, reading, and staying positive with a strong interest in learning.

Ms. Li has extensive experience in school management and administration. Julia was with Country Garden Education Group for 18 years and has extensive experience founding three international bilingual schools. Julia places a strong emphasis on the management and development of teaching talent. At BBSG, Ms. Li will be responsible to day-to-day school operations & administration. Ms. Li strives to cultivate a vibrant campus culture at BBSG, leading the team to foster a positive academic atmosphere and strong school spirit.

Mr. Peciak is a highly organised and detail-oriented intercultural educational leader experienced in the demanding Chinese bilingual and international education sector.

Having graduated with an MA in Economics, he abandoned a career in business, following his passion for teaching instead and subsequently earning degrees in Executive International Educational Leadership and Change from the Education University of Hong Kong and Teacher Education from the University of Oxford.

With over a decade of leadership experience across bilingual schools in China, he developed a profound knowledge of both Chinese and International Curricula (CNC, IGCSE/A-Level, IB), with a comprehensive understanding of the requirements of local students, parents, and authorities.

In his daily practice, Mr. Peciak focuses on elevating student outcomes across all age levels through home-school partnerships, data-driven assessment systems, and individualised student focus.

He is trilingual and currently lives in Guangzhou with his wife, daughter, and two dogs.

Mr. Zhang is an education leader with a wealth of experience in bilingual and international education. Having taken substantial leadership roles in well-known schools in Guangzhou for the past 20 years and significantly served as the Primary School Principal, he has gained extensive experience in supporting students’ individualised development and parent-school relationship. He also has deep expertise in Chinese National Curriculum and IB curriculum integration and moral education management.

Mr. Zhang holds a master’s degree in Psychology with the South China Normal University. He was awarded Teacher of Primary and Secondary School Writing in China, and Best Homeroom Teacher in Guangzhou.

Mr. Fung has seasoned senior experience with more than 15 years in the education industry and key start-up contributor for a K12 school in the Greater Bay Area. He has cross-industry management consulting experience at top consulting firms such as McKinsey and Booz Allen Hamilton, covering education, financial services, real estate, energy, and more. He has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware, an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, MSc in Chemical Engineering Practice from MIT, and dual BSc in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry from MIT, and MSc in Genomics and Bioinformatics from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. 

Ms. Gong graduated from Beijing Language and Culture University with a master's degree in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics. She has won a full scholarship of Early Career Teachers Program and half scholarship for Master’s in Private School Leadership from Teachers’ College, Columbia University of the U.S.

She has held senior management positions at many well-known international schools in Australia and China, and has successively served as Head of Chinese of Secondary School, Director of Academics of Junior High school, and Director of Curriculum Center, etc.

Mr. Gong has been serving as IB DP examiner, workshop leader for teachers as well as school accreditation visiting team member. Mr. Gong is also a joint school visiting team member of CIS (Council of International Schools), WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) and NEASC (New England Association of Schools and Colleges). Her school accreditation experience includes top ranking international schools both in mainland China and HongKong area, such as Discovery College of Hongkong, Victoria Shanghai Academy of Hongkong, Shenzhen College of International Education, Shenwai International School and has gained rich experience in teacher training and school accreditation.

As a leader who grew up as a front-line teacher, Mr. Gong has taught all the different levels of middle and high school courses of IB native Chinese and non-native Chinese, as well as IB TOK (Theory of Knowledge) and Approaches to Learning (ATLs) in English.  

Mr. Gong is also the founder and chief writer of an international education Wechat public account. In her spare time, she likes writing and reading. Recently, she focuses on thinking and research on children philosophy and youth leadership.
