Ms. Gong graduated from Beijing Language and Culture University with a master's degree in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics. She has won a full scholarship of Early Career Teachers Program and half scholarship for Master’s in Private School Leadership from Teachers’ College, Columbia University of the U.S.
She has held senior management positions at many well-known international schools in Australia and China, and has successively served as Head of Chinese of Secondary School, Director of Academics of Junior High school, and Director of Curriculum Center, etc.
Mr. Gong has been serving as IB DP examiner, workshop leader for teachers as well as school accreditation visiting team member. Mr. Gong is also a joint school visiting team member of CIS (Council of International Schools), WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) and NEASC (New England Association of Schools and Colleges). Her school accreditation experience includes top ranking international schools both in mainland China and HongKong area, such as Discovery College of Hongkong, Victoria Shanghai Academy of Hongkong, Shenzhen College of International Education, Shenwai International School and has gained rich experience in teacher training and school accreditation.
As a leader who grew up as a front-line teacher, Mr. Gong has taught all the different levels of middle and high school courses of IB native Chinese and non-native Chinese, as well as IB TOK (Theory of Knowledge) and Approaches to Learning (ATLs) in English.
Mr. Gong is also the founder and chief writer of an international education Wechat public account. In her spare time, she likes writing and reading. Recently, she focuses on thinking and research on children philosophy and youth leadership.
