Our First Art Competition
08 Dec 2023
In our students' opinions, what would the future of the world be? How would they make a positive impact on the environment and society that they will live in in the future?
The first BBSG Art Competition with the theme of 'Being a Global Citizen' took place in November. Students were encouraged to produce a piece of art that shows how people can connect with and care for the world from their perspectives.
Ms. Ofosu Visual Arts Teacher and Design Technology Lead, said: “A total of 53 artwork entries have been received in half a month, since we announced the competition to the whole school community. It was an impressive amount of submissions for the school’s first art competition, not only demonstrating their passion in visual arts and self-expression, but also their talents and creative lens in arts.”
Leveraging various layouts, patterns and colour mixes, our students further elaborated their ideas on how to make the world a better place, which demonstrated BBSG’s values of Openness, Courage and Talent in them. Some paid attention to pollution and climate change, while others focused on equality, unity and justice for a peaceful world. Traditional cultural elements and technological development were also embedded in their artwork to express themselves.
Congratulations to the winners!
