BBSG Pyjamas Day
27 Mar 2024
Did you sleep well last night?
Our BBSG students had a rejuvenating night of sleep, as they joyfully embraced a cozy day in their pyjamas for the BBSG Pyjamas Day!
Promote Well-being on World Sleep Day
From the fascinating "mix-and-match" of pyjama pants with a suit, to the finishing touch of a "tiger tail," and the humorous "Fortune Pig Hero" costume. Both our students and teachers unleashed their utmost creativity for this special day. Well, this is not something you can see at BBSG every day.
While it may seem like a fun activity, BBSG teachers and students took World Sleep Day as a learning opportunity to understand the science behind healthy sleep: It’s an essential part of our mental health, and it also impacts our alertness, attention, cognitive performance, and resilience. As a learning community, getting enough sleep contributes to better vocabulary acquisition and memory retention in our students' learning journeys.
Sleep Time of BBSG Boarding Students:
Primary: 9:00 pm - 7:00 am (10 hours)
Junior Secondary: 10:00 pm - 7:00 am (9hours)
Through the celebration of World Sleep Day in a fun and relaxing environment, BBSG aims to bring attention to the importance of sleep and advocate for self-care and well-being. Who’s your pick on the “Pyjamas Runway” today?
Participating in Global Initiatives
World Sleep Day is an internationally recognised event that fosters connections and raises awareness about sleep health among researchers, healthcare professionals, and the public. By providing opportunities for our students to participate in global initiatives like this, we engage BBSG students with the global community and prepare them for the future with a healthy body and mind.
