Ms. Louisa Shen
Chinese Principal
Ms. Shen graduated from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS) with a master’s degree in Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics, and has been a government-sponsored visiting scholar at universities in the United States and the United Kingdom. During her 20 years of study and work at GDUFS, she has worked as a full-time teacher, basic education administrator and researcher, as well as a court interpreter and a translator of legal documents. In the past 8 years, she has focused on basic education curriculum development, teacher training, instructional design, school evaluation, academic assessment, etc. She has undertaken a number of STEM research projects at national, provincial and municipal levels.
Ms. Shen has served as an examiner for the Teacher Professional Development Programme of Cambridge International Examinations, a member of the Cambridge Working Group on Community Teachers in Schools, a Speaking examiner of Cambridge Main Suite Examinations, the Chairperson of the Academic Committee of London College of Music (University of West London) Examinations and Assessment Centre (China), and a member of the Academic Committee of the International-minded Schools Branch, among others.
In her leisure time, she enjoys fitness exercises, reading, and staying positive with a strong interest in learning.
