During the event, every Subject Department Lead introduced their respective teams in the presence of all teachers for the first time.
Joined by experienced and passionate teachers from all around the world, the BBSG academic team impressed the audience with creative and engaging presentations. Some of them introduced themselves with word puzzles, while some acted in a video.
Creative, innovative, those are not the only key words to describe the Department Introduction session, but also the approaches leveraged by BBSG teachers in their teaching activities, to inspire and encourage creativity and innovation in our students as well.
Homeroom Ice-breaking activities to foster a sense of belonging
From introducing themselves in English and Chinese to sharing similar interests, students began to get to know their classmates and Homeroom teachers . From learning how to wear the school uniform correctly to understanding the daily schedule, as well as being introduced major learning spaces at different buildings, students learnt more about the campus life at BBSG.
Home-school collaboration to support the development of each student
While students were with their classmates, parents gained a comprehensive understanding of the school’s daily operation, including the nutritionalbalanced, tasty and healthy catering services, the safe school bus service, as well as the 24-hour medical service.
Home-school collaboration is an important pillar in the BBSG community. Through the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) and parent engagement activities, such as the Parent Academy, and Parent-teacher meetings, we work together closely with all parents to support the holistic growth of our students in a happy, healthy and safe environment.
To further acquaint students and parents with our enrichment programmes such as tennis, football, equestrian, and many others, enquiry booths were set up on Orientation Day with external experts to share more information.
At BBSG, students are offered with a wide range of opportunities to try out new things andto explore and develop lifelong interests.
The Orientation Day heralded the start of the new academic year. The BBSG community is ready to embark on a new journey together towards a brand-new future.
