Being a Boarding Student at BBSG
05 Jan 2024
There are two students in Grade 7, Alice W and Angela W, who are classmates and roommates. They spend over 70% of their time together each week.
As the inaugural students of BBSG, the two officially embarked on a new journey as Junior Secondary School students in September, as well as a new life at the Boarding House – De Lodge.
Let us have a quick look at their life with the De Lodge Family over the past four months in the video.
Boarding life extends the education in classrooms, and plays an important role in developing students' personality and values. Boarding House is a place where they can acquire lifelong skills and friendships.
De Lodge is the Boarding House at BBSG, as well as the home from home to BBSG students. It is neat and clean, safe and cosy. The Pastoral Team and Boarding Team safeguard the well-being of each boarding student.
There are two types of bedrooms at De Lodge, with two beds or four beds, offering different sizes of beds for children of different ages. Every two bedrooms share one washing room, with almost the same size as a standard bedroom to ensure the shower and toilets are separated for convenience. On the first floor, there is laundry, a self-study room, as well as practice rooms for music students, encouraging students to manage their time for study and activities independently, and learning to arrange their personal lives properly.

“德苑”的每1.5层设有不同大小的公共活动区域,为寄宿生提供休闲娱乐和社交的场所。寄宿团队会不定期组织集体活动,电影之夜、生日“派对”、挥汗健身房、夜间足球赛、“词汇挑战”等,为同学们提供各式各样的机会,结识不同年龄的朋友,并在活动中进一步培养沟通、领导和创新等能力。
We look forward to welcoming you to the De Lodge family. Come and join our Open Day, and learn more about the Boarding life at BBSG.
