Education Hub: A New K-12 Education Experience for The Future

The pace of change in the digital era is unmatched by any period in history. The challenge K-12 schools face globally is to remain relevant by keeping up with this whirlwind pace.

The Education Hub (“Hub”) operated by CTF Education Group (“CTFEG”) will open in March 2024. The Hub, spanning 100,000 sqm, has created a new K-12 education experience (kindergarten through primary and secondary) – the “Kindervarsity” model – that brings together a community of learners, educators, researchers and industry professionals, and to nourish a generation of future ready talents for China.

Applying the university framework, the Hub is home to schools - Benenden Schools Guangzhou, research – our Future Education Research Institute, and campus life which includes our state-of-the-art facilities: the Performing Arts Center, Sports Centre and Innovation Centre, boarding residential life, and much more!

The Hub is located a 10-minute drive from Guangzhou Nan Station and one hour by high-speed train from West Kowloon in Hong Kong.

The Hub’s prime location will facilitate the seamless exchange of ideas, skills, and resources to prepare a new talent pipeline for the future of the Greater Bay Area.

At the Central Talent Work Conference, General Secretary Xi Jinping said: "Accelerating the construction of important talent centres and innovation platforms" and "building high quality talent platforms in Beijing, Shanghai, and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (‘GBA’)” will support China in becoming leading country in education and technology.  

Based in Guangzhou, the Education Hub is in a prime position to develop a skilled talent pipeline for the future of the GBA.

The Hub creates a new “Kindervarsity” model. “Kinder” is derived from the word "child" in German, and “varsity” means "university, higher institutions" in Latin.

The Hub's pioneering "Kindervarsity" K-12 education model applies the university framework to bring together a community of learners, educators, researchers and industry professionals to provide a purpose driven, future ready complete education for the next generation.

Schools are not an assembly line for cultivating talents. In 2020, CTF Education Group formed a strategic partnership with Benenden School UK to provide strategic advisory services to found and support three schools at the Hub. On Benenden UK’s 100th anniversary in 2023, the doors to the first school in the Education Hub -- Benenden Bilingual School Guangzhou -- opened to students in China.  

At BBSG, every child is unique, with his/her own needs, potential, passions and interests. The Chinese name of Benenden Schools Guangzhou is博萃德 (pinyin: Bo Cui De), and the characters (Bo Cui De) refer to core values (knowledge, excellence, and virtue) of the Complete Education. As with Benenden School in the UK, BBSG’s Future Ready Complete Education targets each student's own journey of achieving academic and personal development, a firm understanding of the world in which we live, as well as a future ready mindset and skill sets. BBSG provides tailored learning experiences for students through Signature Programmes — QUEST, Culture Academy, AI for Humanity and World of Work “WOW”, preparing them to be “Future World Ready”.

As with Benenden School in the UK, Benenden School Guangzhou's Future Ready Complete Education targets each student's journey to achieving academic and personal development, a firm understanding of the world in which we live, as well as a future ready mindset and skill sets.

The Performing Arts Centre is home three remarkable performing arts spaces, including a musical hall and a 280-seated end-stage theatre.

The state-of-the-art Sports Centre has three international competition standard basketball courts, an Olympic indoor rock climbing wall, 400m running track and football pitch, five tennis courts, five indoor squash courts, a 25m indoor swimming pool, fitness centre, yoga studios, and more.

The Innovation Centre, outfitted with versatile, multi-purpose maker spaces and studios, offers K-12 learners an immersive, one-of-a-kind interdisciplinary STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) experience.

In the Hub, the Future Education Research Institute leverages global resources and CTF Education Group’s extensive ecosystem to advance the frontiers of K-12 education through research projects in collaboration with K-12 educators, university researchers, education corporates, and institutions.

In addition, the Education Hub’s School Leadership Academy is dedicated to enhancing the leadership capacities and professional development of aspiring and current school leaders across Asia and beyond.
