Mr. Hamish Williams
English Literary Coordinator (Whole School)

Mr. Williams is a highly experienced educator with an impressive 22-year tenure in the teaching industry. He has gained international teaching experience in countries such as Qatar, South Korea, Singapore, Mongolia, Thailand, and China. He was honoured with the Employee of the Year Award (China) with his previous school and was an inaugural inductee into the school’s High Performance Program. In addition to his teaching accomplishments, Mr. Williams has shared his expertise at prominent conventions, including EdCon 360 in 2021 and the 2020 International and Bilingual Schools China Conference.
Mr. Williams holds a Bachelor of Political Science from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, as well as a PGCEi and Master’s degree from the University of Nottingham, UK.
He believes that inspiration and differentiation are paramount skills for any educator. Outside of his professional endeavors, he enjoys reading, writing, and swimming. He achieved third place in the New Zealand National Writing competition, reached the final round of The Bangkok Poetry Slam, and is currently working on the third draft of his first novel.
