Ms. Huang holds a postgraduate degree in International Education from the University of Manchester UK, graduating with Distinction. This experience has shaped her expertise and vision for an inclusive international educational approach.
Ms. Huang was a founding staff member in an international bilingual school in Shenzhen, Ms. Huang played a pivotal role in developing bilingual mathematics programmes and establishing assessment structures with international mathematics educators. Her extensive knowledge of the US Common Core Learning Standards and the UK National curriculum enables her to navigate and adapt these frameworks flexibly and effectively, which ensures a cohesive learning experience for students, and makes it more adaptable for Chinese students.
In Ms. Huang’s Maths classes, students are motivated to actively study, express themselves, and reflect. Her adeptness at designing and delivering lessons fosters students' enthusiasm for mathematics. She excels at identifying students' needs promptly and adjusting study plans accordingly. Ms. Huang inspires students to explore connections between Maths and the world around them. She empowers them with interdisciplinary learning experiences, often incorporating elements from diverse fields such as science, STEAM, and reading. This approach broadens students’ horizons, nurtures curiosity, and cultivates a deeper understanding of how mathematics influences and intersects with real-life scenarios.
Prior to teaching, Ms. Huang actively participated in International Debate competitions, collaborating with esteemed universities like Cambridge and Oxford, earning prestigious medals. This experience influences her teaching philosophy, as she aims to inspire students to maintain sharp minds and think critically. In her leisure time, Ms. Huang enjoys photography, music, and movies. She’s very delighted to join BBSG and is excited about the prospect of a wonderful year ahead, engaging with students.
