Dr. Grobler holds a BSc, MSc, and PhD, all specialising in molecular biology and genetics.

With over 20 years of experience in education, he has taught in South Korea, Hong Kong and Shenzhen, across various curricula including the Chinese National Curriculum, IGCSE, A Level, and IB MYP.

Dr. Grobler believes in experiential learning and that students should discover answers for themselves through practical experiments.

Mr. Pandya holds an impressive array of qualifications, including a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics, a Bachelor of Education in Mathematics, Science, and Statistics, as well as a Master of Education and an MBA.

With extensive experience teaching Mathematics and Physics across various examination systems and grade levels, Mr. Pandya has expertise in both IB and A Level curricula.

Mr. Pandya is committed to exploring innovative teaching methods, seamlessly integrating technology into the classroom to enhance learning experiences. His approach is tailored to accommodate diverse learning styles.

Ms. Li is an experienced educator with a strong background in project-based learning and cultivating a scientific mindset through inquiry activities. She was part of the founding faculty at a prestigious bilingual school in Shenzhen, where she gained valuable expertise in implementing innovative teaching methods.

With a major in Chemistry and a Bachelor's and Master's degree in science from Beijing Normal University, Ms. Li brings a deep understanding of the subject matter to her teaching practice. She has also published articles in top journals in the field of material science, demonstrating her commitment to staying at the forefront of research and contributing to the advancement of knowledge.

Ms. Li's educational philosophy revolves around the concept of learning by doing, encouraging students to actively engage in hands-on activities to deepen their understanding and foster critical thinking skills.

Outside of the classroom, Ms. Li indulges in her personal hobbies. She is passionate about DIY projects and has a keen interest in woodwork. Additionally, she actively participates in the preservation of traditional Chinese crafts. In her leisure time, you can find Ms. Li exploring the depths of the ocean as she shares a love for diving.

Mr. Emmet Sherry brings 15 years of teaching experience to his role as a Chemistry teacher. He previously served as Head of Science, where he led departmental appraisals and curriculum development. Emmet possesses a decade of experience supervising Internal Assessment (IA) projects within the IB Diploma Programme and has also served as an Extended Essay (EE) supervisor.

He is dedicated to creating a learning environment where all students can flourish and develop a genuine passion for science. By fostering a growth mindset, he guides students to become confident, capable individuals and effective team members, ensuring they are well-prepared for their future academic endeavours.

Ms. Marli van Jaarsveld brings over 12 years of international teaching experience gained across England, South Africa, and China. Her recent expertise includes delivering the GCSE Science curriculum in the UK, alongside extensive experience in the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and English as an Additional Language (EAL) instruction. 

Her educational philosophy centres on ensuring that every student feels seen, valued, and supported; she strives to inspire students to become lifelong learners by nurturing their curiosity and confidence within the scientific field.

Ms. Li holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Biological Science from UCLA, and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership in Practice from the University of Manchester.

Her professional qualifications include a PGCE, an IBDP Biology Teacher Training Certificate, and registration as an AP Biology and Chemistry teacher.

Ms. Li's career includes roles as Academic Head, Head of Science, and Science Teacher. She has extensive experience teaching various curricula including AP, IGCSE, IB, and HKDSE. Her contributions have been instrumental in establishing international curriculum systems and organising teaching seminars.

Ms. Gao holds a BSc in Biotechnology and a MSc in Conservation Biology from The University of Queensland in Australia. She worked as a coastal and environmental consultant at WWF and several education NGOs, which brought together her passions for science and teaching. 

Prior to joining Benenden Guangzhou, Ms. Gao taught A-Level and IGCSE Biology in both public and international schools. Ms. Gao enjoys teaching all levels of science but especially enjoys biology. Getting to know students outside of the classroom through coaching is also a favourite past time of hers. As a strong believer in student empowerment, Ms. Gao values a curious mindset, active learning, and student voice. She endeavours to always be learning something new with her students. 

In her free time, she can be found with her family, reading, hiking or practising yoga.

Ms. Wenny Wu is a dedicated Physics teacher with years of experience in international and bilingual education. Her expertise spans Cambridge IGCSE Physics, the Singapore Science curriculum, and bilingual Physics instruction across secondary levels. Beyond the classroom, she has extensive experience as a homeroom teacher, contributing to both the academic and pastoral development of her students. 

Wenny believes that students learn best through exploration, inquiry, and hands-on investigation. She specialises in designing practical and interactive lessons that make abstract scientific concepts accessible and engaging. Her goal is to nurture scientific thinking and confidence, inspiring a genuine passion for Physics while helping students develop the analytical skills necessary for future academic success. 

Mr. Kyrie Wu holds a Bachelor of Engineering from a top university in China, where he developed a strong foundation in mathematics and science. He later earned a Master of Education from the University of Melbourne, combining his STEM background with evidence-based teaching methods. 

With experience in leading educational institutions and international schools, Mr. Wu specialises in making abstract physics concepts accessible by linking them to real-world phenomena. He supports inquiry-based learning for international curricula and helps students sharpen their exam skills. His approach ensures students master knowledge and develop critical thinking to apply physics in new situations. 

Mr. Wu believes physics is the language for understanding the universe. His teaching encourages observation, questioning, and reasoning rather than rote memorisation. 

Bilingual in Chinese and English, he delivers engaging, precise lessons in both languages. Outside the classroom, he enjoys basketball and hiking, activities that keep him energetic and focused—traits he brings to his teaching every day. 

Mr. Lao brings forth a wealth of expertise, boasting over 5 years of experience in bilingual science teaching. Demonstrating adeptness in integrating innovative experiments into the teaching paradigm, Mr. Jackie Lao specialises in imparting foundational scientific knowledge, fostering a heightened enthusiasm and interest in the subject among students.

Mr. Lao has been honoured as an Outstanding Teacher in the Beipian District of Panyu. He has received a Second Prize in the Panyu District Young Teachers' Teaching Ability Competition and a Second Prize in the Panyu District Experimental Teaching Presentation Competition. Furthermore, Mr. Lao possesses extensive experience in guiding students to success in various competitions, with several accolades earned in local Youth Innovation and Technology competitions.
