Ms. Hu has a diverse education background that has equipped her with knowledge and skills in various fields. She holds a bachelor's degree in Chinese language and literature from Xiamen University and a master's degree from Sun Yat-sen University. Recently, as part of her career development, she was enrolled in a master's program in Early Childhood Education, where she aims to deepen her understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies. As an international educator, Ms. Hu is excited to leverage her prior experience and expand her skill set, ultimately leading to her teaching license in early childhood education in Washington, D.C. Overall, her education has enriched her intellectual capacity, cultural awareness, and teaching expertise, enabling her to be an effective educator and make a meaningful impact on the lives of her students.
As a Chinese language teacher, Ms. Hu has had the opportunity to teach in various countries, including Mexico, UAE, and China. For over 7 years, she has worked in K-12 and international schools, imparting her knowledge of Mandarin to students from different cultures, ages, and backgrounds, and the experience has been exceptional. With students from diverse backgrounds, the teaching here is unique and challenging, as she had to be mindful of the cultural differences and language barriers. However, the challenge of teaching in such a diverse environment has made her more effective and efficient in her teaching as she has learned to tailor her teaching strategies to suit the different learning preferences of her students.
